Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is committed to providing a safe, calm, and secure environment for our 31,000 students and 3,700 staff across our 47 schools. We are now looking for a structured and proactive Security & Safety Coordinator to join our central team.

In this role, you will work closely with and support the Director of Security and Safety. This is a hands-on, operational position perfect for someone early in their career who wants to grow within the field of corporate security and safety. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day practical execution of our safety procedures across all our schools.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Administration

• Incident Support: Support the IES Crisis Team during incidents with documentation and coordination.

• Safety Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating security policies and safety procedures.

• SBA & SAM: Provide practical support to schools regarding Systematic Fire Protection (SBA) and Systematic Work Environment Management (SAM).

• Reporting: Help compile incident data and prepare status reports for the Director.

System & Vendor Coordination

• Vendor Contact: Act as a daily point of contact for external security providers (e.g., guarding or technical services).

• Camera Surveillance: Assist with the administration and basic troubleshooting of our camera systems.

• Insurance Admin: Help process and track security-related insurance claims.

• Budget Admin: Assist in tracking expenses and processing invoices related to the security budget.

School Support & Training

• Daily Helpdesk: Serve as a helpful first point of contact for school staff regarding safety questions.

• New School Set-up: Assist in the practical coordination of security installations when we open new schools.

• Training Coordination: Help organize workshops and training sessions for school staff.

 Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a "doer" – someone who is organized, service-minded, and eager to learn the complexities of school security.

We believe you have:

• 1–2 years of experience in a role related to security, facility management, administration, or a similar field. We also welcome applications from recent graduates with a relevant degree and a strong drive.

• A basic understanding of, or a strong interest in, SBA (Fire Protection) and SAM (Work Environment).

• Excellent organizational skills and a methodical way of working.

• The ability to remain calm and helpful, even when things get busy.

Communication: You are a clear communicator. Since we are a bilingual organization, you must be fluent in both Swedish and English (written and spoken).

Meritorious:

• Experience working in a school environment or a multi-site organization.

• Experience with technical security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control).

About the position:

You will report to the Director of Security & Safety. This is a full-time position, and we would prefer if you are able to work regularly from our head office in Danderyd, Stockholm. The role includes travel to our schools across Sweden.
