Security & Safety Manager - Internationella Engelska Skolan/ Head Office
Join Internationella Engelska Skolan as Security & Safety Manager — a hands-on role driving procedures, systems, and support to ensure IES schools meet the highest safety standards.
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is committed to providing a safe, calm, and secure environment for our 31,000 students and 3,700 staff across our 47 schools.
We are now strengthening our central team and seeking a hands-on and structured Security & Safety Manager. Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Security and Safety, you will be a key driver in the day-to-day execution of our security and safety strategy. This is a highly operational role focused on implementing procedures, managing systems, and providing direct, practical support to our schools to ensure they meet IES’s high standards of safety.
Key Responsibilities
As Security & Safety Manager, you will coordinate and manage daily operations across the group, ensuring the successful implementation of the company's security and safety framework.
Operational Management & Incident Response
- Incident Coordination: Act as an operational leader within the IES Crisis Team during incidents.
- Policy Implementation: Take ownership of implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
- Fire Protection Management (SBA)
- Work Environment Coordination (SAM)
System & Vendor Management
- External Security Providers: Serve as the primary operational contact for our external security partners.
- Camera Surveillance: Handle the daily administration of IES's camera surveillance systems.
- Corporate Insurance: Administer security and safety-related insurance claims and processes.
- Budget Tracking: Assist the Director in monitoring and tracking expenses related to security and safety budgets.
- Regulatory Contact: Maintain operational contacts with relevant authorities, supporting the Director with compliance matters.
School Support & Training
- First Point of Contact: Act as the go-to person for schools on daily security and safety matters.
- New School Set-up: Coordinate the operational security and safety installations and processes for new schools.
- Training & Information: Organize and deliver operational training for staff
- Reporting & Analysis: Compile and prepare regular incident and status reports for the Director of Security and Safety.
Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking a proactive and service-minded individual who excels in an operational environment.
Required Experience:
- Several years of hands-on experience in operational security, risk management, or a related field.
- Practical experience with incident response, systematic fire protection (SBA), and work environment management (SAM).
- Experience in coordinating with external vendors and supporting multiple sites or locations.
- Strong organizational skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a calm, decisive demeanor under pressure.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train others and convey information clearly. Full professional fluency in both Swedish and English is mandatory.
Meritorious:
Experience working within the education sector. Relevant certifications in security, safety, or fire protection.

About the position:
You will report to the Director of Security & Safety. This is a full-time position, and we would prefer if you are able to work regularly from our head office in Danderyd, Stockholm. The role includes travel to our schools across Sweden.
